i've been a fan of hardcore tano*C for nearly a decade and a half, and over those years i feel like i've wavered on how much i enjoy their annual compilations as they've progressed. it could be nostalgia talking, but i still consider some of the earliest SYNDROME albums to be the most solid. i was thrilled to listen to this one and find that there were no skippable tracks, and many that go hard while being amazingly mastered. picking a best track was hard, but i could listen to ISOLATOR all day.

my best friend and i raved the fk out repeatedly to After Ascension together. some years i felt like the Tano*C compilations had lost their touch, but this one redeemed a lot of my faith. Stay With Me is also a great song with classic jcore elements that really hits.

Each artist really stretches the topic of "piano" as much as possible in differing dimensions, with some frenetic structures neighboring some compositions closer to a nocturne. No holds are barred, any drum sequencer and pad program goes, which creates dynamic, progressive tracks that end nowhere near where they started.
